Photo Gallery | Water Main Break Causes Trouble for Firefighters
Fire destroyed a double-wide mobile home near Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road Friday afternoon.
According to the Clark County Fire Department, the fire started at about 1:40. Fire crews struggled to get the blaze under control when a water main broke in the area.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but when residents originally called to report the fire, they told 911 operators they heard a small explosion.
A firefighter twisted his ankle while battling the blaze, but he should be fine.
