Major Intersection to be Closed for Sewer Line Work

A week-long closure will affect drivers who travel on Nellis Boulevard or Desert Inn Road next week.

A sewer rehabilitation project will require a full intersection closure at Nellis and Desert Inn late next week, while crews work to replace sewer lines and manholes. The work on this project begins with partial closures in the area Monday. The timetable for this project is:

  • From 10 am Monday through 11:30 pm, Monday, November 5, the inner most left lanes on both Northbound and Southbound Nellis Boulevard will be closed from Desert Inn to Happy Valley Avenue.
  • From 9 pm Monday through 5 am Tuesday, traffic on Northbound Nellis, between Desert Inn and Happy Valley Avenue, will be reduced to one lane.
  • From 10 am Monday through 11:30 pm, Friday, November 9, the innermost left lanes will be closed on both Eastbound and Westbound Desert Inn Road on both sides of the intersection at Nellis Boulevard.
  • From 9 pm Friday, November 2 through 5 am, Monday, November 5, the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Desert Inn Road will be closed.  Right turns will be allowed, to detour traffic around the intersection.

Drivers will face delays at the intersection, and we suggest use of alternative routes. For more information and traffic updates on all of our projects, drivers can call the project hotline at 668-8668, or visit www.thelvpipeline.com.
