TV Station Moving into Boulevard Mall

A TV station will be opening among the stores and kiosks of the Boulevard Mall.

KMCC-TV is an affiliate of the new Spanish language network MundoFOX. The network was started in 2012 to provide Spanish language programming to the Hispanic community.

The new station is expected to be up and running by August 1. It will be located in more than 4,000 square feet of the east court of the Boulevard Mall. Shoppers will see the oversized TV monitors broadcasting MundoFOX programming.

The station manager said that although it is unusual to have a TV station in a mall, they felt it was a community center for the Hispanic community in the neighborhood.

Taxpayers who may have difficulty scheduling a visit to an IRS Taxpayer Assistance Center during normal weekday business hours can visit the Las Vegas office at 110 City Parkway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to get free tax assistance.

Help with account questions, such as collection or examination issues, is also available during Open House. In some instances, virtual assistance will be offered, as taxpayers will be assisted over the telephone by IRS employees who are working in other offices around the country.

"We know some people are facing challenging economic times and we want to provide extra assistance on these Saturdays," IRS Spokesman Raphael Tulino said. "Our goal is to help them get what they need from the IRS."

In addition to the normal array of services, limited help preparing tax forms is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
