Coroner: Multiple stab wounds found on dead woman

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified the woman found dead behind a business as 54-year-old Kathy Shines of Las Vegas. Shine suffered numerous stab wounds to her body, the coroner said.

Metro Police have released surveillance pictures of the man they think is connected to Shine's death.

Officers said the woman's body was found by dumpsters behind a business at 3300 S. Nellis Boulevard around 5:57 a.m. Saturday morning. According to authorities, the woman was approached by a man and attacked.  

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male adult, standing approximately 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black beanie, black hooded jacket, red shirt, black pants, and dark gloves.

This is the second homicide in Metro Police's jurisdiction so far this year.  This is a developing story.  Metro homicide detectives are investigating.
