LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police said a Las Vegas man was critically injured after he was hit by a pickup truck Friday night.

Around 11:43 p.m., a 2015 Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on Tropicana Avenue, in the center travel lane, east of Topaz Street.

At the same time, detectives said witnesses told them 46-year-old Sergio Weatherly was crossing the street on Tropicana in an unmarked crosswalk when he was struck.

The driver of the Tacoma has been identified as 35-year-old Randy Tena.

Weatherly was taken to Sunrise Hospital with life threatening injuries. It is unclear if Tena or his passenger, 35-year-old Duy Nguyen, received any injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by Metro Police.
