Police investigate shooting in northeast Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Metro police investigated a shooting late Tuesday morning in northeast Las Vegas.

Officers were called to an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Juniper Hills, near Vegas Valley Drive and Nellis Boulevard, just before 11:30 a.m.

According to police, someone was shot in the leg after some type of argument. Initial reports indicate it might have been over a dog and that both the suspect and victim live in the complex.

The victim was taken to Sunrise Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No other information was immediately available.
