KOA RV park moving to Sam's Town

LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas KOA which was located on the Las Vegas Strip will make its new home at Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall.

The campground which sat next to Circus Circus for the past 35 years was closed to make room for the City of Rock which will feature open-air concerts starting in 2015.

Under its agreement with Boyd Gaming Corporation, KOA will assume operations of Sam's Town RV Park, one of the largest in the valley. The park will be renamed Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town and open on Oct. 1.

“KOA offers the best in outdoor hospitality, and we are interested in providing campers a premier place to stay in Las Vegas,” said KOA President Pat Hittmeier. “Sam's Town is a beautiful facility with top-tier services run by a great group of people. The partnership is a winning combination.”

There will be nearly 500 spaces across two parks and both will offer 30 and 50-amp full hook-up sites with extended stay opportunities.
