Local Company Looking to Double Staff

Local Company Looking to Double Staff

Hundreds of jobs are coming to Las Vegas. A local company is holding a job fair Thursday.

Precision Opinion is looking at adding 400 positions, which is almost double its current staffing. It is holding a job fair in two parts. One will be at 10 a.m. The second will be at 2 p.m. Both sessions will be at the company offices at 101 Convention Center Drive, Suite 124. Previous experience is not required.

The company conducts political polling and market research. It is looking for people to conduct telephone interviews, but they are also looking for researchers, managers and quality control supervisors.

“Nothing is the same. Every day you truly are getting the pulse of America. You are finding out what people's opinions are, how they feel about it,” President of Precision Opinion Jim Medick said.

For more information, call the job fair hotline at (702)483-4098.

Agriculture Secretary Meets with Business Leaders

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack met with a handful of Las Vegas-area business leaders Tuesday to push President Obama’s jobs plan.

The secretary held a White House Business Council Roundtable at the East Las Vegas Community Center. Vilsack encouraged the business leaders to apply for a federal loan to build and operate a waste recycling plant. The plant would produce biofuel for the Navy. He says there are a few plants that will be built and one in Nevada would help create jobs.
