Fugitive task force arrests murder suspect from Illinois

A man accused of murder in Illinois has been arrested in Las Vegas. The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Investigative Strike Team, or FIST, arrested 37-year-old Turhan Robinson near Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane.

Robinson is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting and police chase in Venice, Illinois, which near St. Louis.

Robinson has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center pending his extradition to Illinois.

FIST is a permanent task force that brings together state, local and federal agencies to find dangerous and violent fugitives.

Metro Police are looking for two men who robbed a business near East Desert Inn Road and Nellis Boulevard.

According to police, on April 12, the men walked into the restaurant, pulled out handguns, and demanded employees give them money. The employees gave the men money and they fled.

The first man is described as a black man between 20 and 25 years old, 6 foot and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black doo-rag, black hoodie and blue jeans.

The second man is described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old, 5 foot 7 with a heavy build. He was wearing a black hoodie and dark pants.

Police Reveal More Information about Officer-Involved Shooting

Metro Police released more details about the officer-involved shooting near U.S. 95 and Charleston Boulevard on Monday.

Police identified the man suspected in the incident as 42-year-old Manuel Rodriguez, who is in this country illegal and he has been deported twice since 1997.

Clark County Undersheriff Jim Dixon explained that police were called to the area on reports that a man with a gun was trying to steal cars.

When the first officer arrived on scene, police say Rodriguez pointed his gun at him and the officer was able to take cover. They also say the suspect threatened two other people before officers arrived.

In the end, officers tracked Rodriguez to the on ramp at U.S. 95 and Charleston Boulevard. They say the suspect had his hands above his head and officers continued to tell him to drop his weapon.

Police Looking for Man in Home Invasion Robbery

Metro Police have recovered a car stolen in a home invasion robbery earlier this month.

According to police, the man broke into a home in the southeast part of the Las Vegas valley and detained the woman who was home, while he stole items from her house.

The man then took the woman's mini-van and left the area.

The same man is believed to be involved with other crimes including a burglary, a home robbery and a car theft. He is described as a white man in his 20s or 30s with a tattoo on the back of his neck and glasses.

Police Search for Man and Woman Who Robbed Store

Metro Police are looking for a man and a woman who robbed a store near Charleston Boulevard and Christy Lane.

According to police, the pair walked into the store at around 6:40 p.m. Jan. 3. The man pointed a gun at the employee and demanded money. While the employee was trying to give the man money, he pressed the gun into the face of a female customer and demanded her belongings.

Meanwhile, the female grabbed money from the register. They were last scene heading west from the store.

The man is described as a black male between 20 and 23 years old. He is 5 foot 11 and between 150 and 170 pounds. He has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, a black baseball cap with a white symbol on the front, a purple bandana over his face and dark gloves.

Police Search for Women Who Robbed Store

Metro Police are looking for two women who robbed a business and injured an employee in the process.

According to police, the incident happened Dec. 31 at a business on the 3000 block of South Maryland Parkway, which is near the intersection of Desert Inn Road.

The women stole items from the business, but when they tried to leave, an employee tried to stop them, police said. A fight between the women and the employee, left the employee with minor injuries.

Police Looking for Man Who Tried to Rob Restaurant

Metro Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a fast food restaurant earlier this month.

According to police, the man walked into the business on Maryland Parkway near Sahara Avenue at around 7:45 p.m. Dec. 5. He simulated a handgun with his gloved hand and demanded money from the cashier, officers said.

The cashier refused to give him any money. The man then tried to take the purse of one of the customers. She was able to fight him off. The man left without any money or property.

The man is described as black male between 25 and 35 years old, 5 foot 10 and bald. He was wearing a black knit cap, gray hoodie, white T-shirt, tan pants and dark shoes. He was wearing a black glove on his right hand, which is used to simulate a hand gun.
