Organ Donor Honored

A Las Vegas man will be honored for his decision to give the gift of life and be an organ donor.

Paul John Young was an emergency medical technician with the Clark County Fire Department and with private ambulance companies for 36 years. At the age of 55, he died from complications after a neurological surgery.

However, he helped to save and heal the lives of 30 people through donating his organs.

Now, Palm Mortuaries and Cemeteries and the Nevada Donor Network are honoring his decision by creating a floragraph that will go on the Donate Life float at the 125th Rose Parade on Jan. 1.

This weekend family and friends will be able to help complete the portrait, which was created out of floral and natural materials, at a the Clark County Fire Station 31 on Hollywood Boulevard.

Friends of the Young family and those who support organ donation are invited to attend.
