Recycled Rides Given to 6 Las Vegas Families in Need

Six Las Vegas families received keys to a car thanks to a program that refurbishes old cars for families in need.

The National Auto Body Council’s Recycle Rides program partnered with Family Promise of Las Vegas to connect the cars and the struggling families. The program coordinates collision repair companies, insurers, suppliers and vendors to fix and donate the cars.

The cars are expected to help each of the families get back on their feet.

"Lack of reliable transportation is a daily challenge for families struggling to regain financial stability while caring for their family," said Terry Lindeman, Executive Director of Family Promise of Las Vegas. "These gifts through the Recycled RidesTM  are a game-changer for our families. We are grateful to the NABC and the local Las Vegas member shops that provide our families, year after year, with help to ease the transportation burden for these families."

Family Promise is a nonprofit, interfaith network that provides emergency shelter and support for families in crisis.
