"Blues River" Concert Planned for Winchester Cultural Center

Three artists will use song, stories, music and poetry to tell the story of America in a concert titled "Blues River" at the Winchester Cultural Center.

The concert will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

It will feature Ellis "Blusoul" Rice who will cover blues, jazz and soul standards by great artists from Joe Williams to Stevie Wonder.

Also performing, poet Keith "The Modern Griot" Brantley. He has presenting his poetry for more than 15 years and hosted the West Las Vegas Arts Center's Poets' Corner.

Pianist and composer Michael Shane will also perform. Shane was the in-house entertainer at the Wynn Resort and has performed with dozens of legendary musicians.

The lineup will be rounded out by Beverly "Chocolate" Williams, who is a long-time performer in Las Vegas.

Tickets to the show are $10 in advance and $12 the day of the show. They can be purchased at the center's front desk or online at clarkcountynv.gov/parksregistration
