Mexico is a country rich in tradition and more diverse than many people know.

That is why a folkdance group from Las Vegas will be featuring the culture, music and dance of various regions of Mexico in its next performance. The show will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, February 18 at the Winchester Cultural Center.

Members of Izel Ballet Folklorico and Yoneme, the folkloric dance group from General Lazaro Cardenas High School in Tijuana, Mexico, will be performing “Viaje Atravez del Folklore” or “Travel Through Folklore.”

Izel Ballet Folkloric was found in Las Vegas by its director Roman Lizaola. Tickets to the performance are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 years old and younger.
