Jazz Quintet Plans Show at Cultural Center

Top jazz artists are bringing New Orleans jazz to the Winchester Cultural Center.

The show is at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, October 29. The band Mardi Gras Mambo will play jazz standards along with contemporary pieces. The quintet features: Michael Ray Tyler, trumpet; Dave Poe, clarinet; Gary Queen, guitar; Bill Bailey, bass; and Alfredo Alvarenga, drums.

“In the end, blues and early jazz are the fountainhead of American music, so in many ways we have lived this music our whole careers,” Queen said.
