Man accused of 2013 double homicide arrested in Mississippi

The suspect in a 2013 homicide was arrested, police said.

Christopher Green, 32, has been extradited from Mississippi where he was serving a sentence at the Yazoo Correctional Facility.

Police said on Oct. 21, 2013, Green was involved in a shooting in the 5100 block of East Sahara Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, patrol officers discovered two men who had been shot and killed.

Detectives said it all started with an argument between two groups of people. The gunfire later ensued.

Police said 28-year-old Michael Dunbar and 29-year-old Teray Shaney-Lyles were shot. An arrest report says Dunbar was allegedly shot as he was fleeing the scene.

Green was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts of open murder and one count of misdemeanor battery.
